In both NSW and Queensland, most plumbing and drainage work must be carried out by a licensed plumber. This protects your health, your property and the public water and sewer systems.

Jobs to leave to a licensed plumber

  • Any work on water supply pipes or drainage
  • Hot water system installation and replacement
  • Gas fitting
  • Moving or installing toilets, showers and sinks
  • Sewer and stormwater connections

How to check a licence

NSW licences can be checked through NSW Fair Trading's licence check service. Queensland licences can be checked through the QBCC online licence search. A4plumbing holds NSW licence 500587C and QBCC licence 15281278.
