One fixture or the whole house?
If low pressure affects one tap, the cause is usually local: a blocked aerator, worn cartridge or partly closed isolation valve. If the whole house is affected, look at the main stop tap, pressure-limiting valve, a leak or the supply itself.
Simple checks
- Unscrew and clean the tap aerator
- Check the main stop tap is fully open
- Ask neighbours whether they have the same issue
- Check for leaks using your water meter
Hot water only?
If only hot water is weak, the issue may be with the hot water system, its valves or the tempering valve.
When to get help
Persistent low pressure can indicate corroded pipes or a hidden leak. A plumber can test pressure and find the cause.
